How Fishing XP is gained

You gain XP each time you catch something, including things that are not fish. 1 XP per catch, whatever you catch and whatever its rarity.

Tips for leveling Fishing efficiently

  • Non-fish catches count too, so the shortest path is simply fishing as often as you can.
  • Having double the fishing value a spot requires gives the shortest wait, so a nearby easy spot is enough. Fishing Nets give no XP.

XP needed to level up Fishing

Total XP from level 0. Each level needs more XP than the one before it, so the last 25 levels take the longest. Every 5 levels give 1 talent point, and reaching level 100 gives 5 more (25 in total).
