Best gear by build (melee, ranged, magic, summon)

The strongest endgame combination (all gear at Lv.20). Columns are builds and rows are slots. Click an item to see how to craft or obtain it.

The damage multiplier is the ratio of expected DPS with this gear and food compared to the base state at skill Lv.100. It does not compare builds against each other (how it is calculated).

  • Best melee build: rankings for each slot, how much damage changes when you swap items, recommended sets and talents.
  • Best ranged build: rankings for each slot, how much damage changes when you swap items, recommended sets and talents.
  • Best magic build: rankings for each slot, how much damage changes when you swap items, recommended sets and talents.
  • Best minion build: rankings for each slot, how much damage changes when you swap items, recommended sets and talents.

How the best gear is chosen (why this combination?)

  • It is not just the #1 item of each slot. Set bonuses and how stacking the same kind of effect scales are taken into account, and slots were swapped one at a time so that the expected DPS of the whole combination is as high as possible.
  • The best gear depends on your build. Melee wants melee damage and attack speed, ranged wants range damage, magic wants magic damage and mana, and summon wants minion damage and max minions.
  • Values are compared at Lv.20. How to upgrade and the costs are in upgrading and reinforcing.
  • The formula is not official; it is the one worked out on wikis and forums (damage formula).

Order to collect the best gear

  1. Progress with each material's gear first: as you move through the biomes, re-craft your armor and weapons from the new material (recommended gear by stage).
  2. Defeat bosses to collect gear: much of the best gear drops from bosses or is made from late-game materials (boss order).
  3. Pick a build and upgrade: once you know which gear you will use, upgrade it to Lv.20 at the Upgrade Station.

Unless a note on the page says otherwise, numbers are read from the game files of Core Keeper 1.3.0.6 (prefabs, configuration files, drop tables and the game's program) and calculated by this site, including upgraded (per-level) values, sell prices and mana costs.
