Running increases your movement speed.
In-game description
How Running XP is gained
You gain XP by moving on your own feet. Mine carts, boats and conveyor belts do not count. About 1 XP per tile walked.
Tips for leveling Running efficiently
- Everyday travel, such as trips between your base and the mining site, levels it naturally.
- Vehicles, riding animals, dodging and standing on conveyor belts give no XP. Walk when you want to level it.
- Movement speed gear and food help you cover more tiles in the same time.
XP needed to level up Running
Total XP from level 0. Each level needs more XP than the one before it, so the last 25 levels take the longest. Every 5 levels give 1 talent point, and reaching level 100 gives 5 more (25 in total).
| Level | Total XP | Talent points |
|---|---|---|
| Lv.25 | 9,467 | 5 |
| Lv.50 | 41,071 | 10 |
| Lv.75 | 146,572 | 15 |
| Lv.100 | 498,767 | 25 |

Running talents
Spend the talent points you get from leveling up on these talents. Each effect is "value per point × points spent" (values from the talent data in the game's configuration files). You cannot fill every talent, but you can reset the points for 200 Ancient Coins and spend them again.
| Talent | Effect (per point) |
|---|---|
| Endurance runner | +5% less food drained when running |
| Balanced stance | +5% dodge chance after standing still for 3 sec |
| Gotta go fast! | +20% movement speed after running consistently for a short duration |
| On your toes | +4% movement speed boost for a short duration after dodging an attack |
| Escape artist | Snare and stun durations reduced by 10% |
| Keeping tempo | +30% damage after consistently running for a short duration |
| Encumbering presence | Any nearby enemies movement speed is reduced by -4% |
| Breaking barriers | +60% armor of current movement speed increase |
