WARLOCK

Core Keeper Warlock Job: Starting Gear and How to Play

What the Warlock starts with (Withered Scepter and Tome of the Dark), how to fight with minions and what to do next.

Data: the game files (version 1.3.0.6)

Summary

What is the Warlock job?

  1. Summoning +3

A job that fights with minions

The Summoning skill starts at +3 levels, and you get a tome that summons minions plus a scepter that boosts minion damage.

  2. Two starting weapons

Tome of the Dark (summons bat minions) and Withered Scepter (enemies it hits take +40% damage from minions).

  3. The difference is only at the start

A job only changes your starting skill and items. Characters with other jobs can switch to summoning later.

How to play a Warlock

  1. Summon minions with the tome: the bats shoot at nearby enemies (up to 8 tiles away). Minions stay until you dismiss them.
  2. Curse enemies with the scepter: cursed enemies take 40% more damage from minions, so your minions kill them faster.
  3. Do not run out of mana: minions reserve mana, which lowers the mana you can spend. Bring mana recovery.

Every minion attack gives Summoning XP (how to level skills).

What to do next as a Warlock (stronger tomes and gear)

  • Switch tomes: stronger tomes appear as you progress. See best summoner gear for tomes ranked by damage per second of one minion.
  • Increase your minion count: gear with max minions lets you summon more at once.
  • All jobs: compare with the other jobs in the job list.
