How to farm Ancient Coins
Sell to merchants
You get Ancient Coins by selling items to merchants. Valuables, unwanted gear, food and even spare crafting stations can be sold.
Valuables and fish sell best
The most expensive valuables sell for 500 coins. Fish you catch can also be sold, so you earn while fishing (tables below).
Some items are worth more after crafting
One Glow Tulip makes 5 lures that sell for 10 coins in total, more than selling the tulip itself (7).
Ways to Earn Ancient Coins
- Sell valuables: most valuables you pick up while exploring have no use other than selling (what valuables are for).
- Sell fish: fish you catch sell too, and fishing nets can gather them automatically (automatic fishing).
- Sell crops: Heart Berry sells for 1 coin. Crafting Glowing Lure from Glow Tulip and selling them brings 10 coins per tulip.
- Sell what you don't need: spare gear, food and unused crafting stations can be sold if they have a sell price (shown on each item page). The chests bosses leave behind sell well too, for example the S.A.H.A.B.A.R. Chest for 88 coins and the Igneous' Chest for 33 once you have emptied them.

What to Spend Ancient Coins On
- Buy from merchants: merchants sell their goods for Ancient Coins (merchant list).
- Upgrade gear: used for upgrades at the upgrade station (upgrade costs).
- Respecs: resetting a skill's talents or a pet's talents costs 200 Ancient Coins (the game's program).
Sell prices are the number of Ancient Coins a merchant pays for one item (game data).
Unless a note on the page says otherwise, numbers are read from the game files of Core Keeper 1.3.0.6 (prefabs, configuration files, drop tables and the game's program) and calculated by this site, including upgraded (per-level) values, sell prices and mana costs.
