Core Keeper won’t launch? Check these
Launch without mods
If you use mods on PC, first check whether the game starts without mods (there is a way to launch with mods disabled).
Specs and OS
You need 64-bit Windows 10 and at least 8 GB of RAM (system requirements). There is no Mac version.
Update the game
An unfinished update can stop the game from running. Update to the latest version, then launch.
Things to check in the game
- Mods: mods can break after an update. Remove them or launch without mods to test (installing mods and caveats).
- Old version: if the game says it is out of date, update to the latest version.
- Data from a newer version: if the game says a world or character was created with a newer game version, update the game.
General PC and Steam fixes
These are general fixes that are not specific to Core Keeper (we have not confirmed they always solve the problem in this game).
- Restart your PC.
- In your Steam library, open the game’s Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
- Update your graphics drivers.
- Make sure your security software is not blocking the game.
If the screen goes black, see black screen fixes. If multiplayer won’t connect, see multiplayer not working.
Unless a note on the page says otherwise, numbers are read from the game files of Core Keeper 1.3.0.6 (prefabs, configuration files, drop tables and the game's program) and calculated by this site, including upgraded (per-level) values, sell prices and mana costs.
