Is Core Keeper crossplay?
PC to PC: yes
The Steam, Epic, GOG and Microsoft Store PC versions can play together once the host sets the multiplayer connection setting to all PC players.
Consoles: only within the same family
PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Xbox Series, and Switch with Switch 2 can play together.
PC with consoles, or different console makers: no
Combinations such as Steam with PS5, or PS5 with Switch, cannot play together (as of November 2026).

How to set up crossplay (PC)
- The host opens the settings: set the multiplayer connection setting to all PC players. If it is limited to a single store (Steam only, Epic only, GOG only or Microsoft only), only players from that store can join.
- Share the Game ID: copy the Game ID from the pause menu and send it to the players who want to join.
- Players enter the ID: on the title screen, choose to join a game and paste the Game ID.
Players on the same store (Steam with Steam, for example) and consoles in the same family (such as PS4 with PS5) do not need this setting.
Can you transfer saves between platforms (cross-save)?
We have not found any official information saying save data can be carried across platforms (cross-save). For upgrading from Switch to the Switch 2 Edition, see the Switch 2 Edition page.

Q. Can Steam and PS5 players play together?
No. Crossplay between PC and consoles is not supported.
Q. Can Switch and PS5 players play together?
No. Consoles only connect within the same family (PlayStation with PlayStation, Xbox with Xbox, Switch with Switch).
Q. Can Epic and Steam players play together?
Yes. The host needs to set the multiplayer connection setting to all PC players.
Q. I get a message saying my platform is not compatible with the host
That means the two platforms cannot play together. Other errors are covered in Multiplayer not working: fixes.
Platform support and prices can change with updates and sales. Checked in November 2026. Which players can join each other comes from the game’s own text (Core Keeper 1.3.0.6): the “Multiplayer connectivity” setting (Steam only, Epic only, GOG only, Microsoft only, All PC players) and the in-game patch note “The game currently does not support crossplay between PC and consoles.” Release dates, player counts and prices come from the platform stores and the publisher’s launch announcements.
