Which turret is best?
For base defense, the Galaxite Turret
The Galaxite Turret deals 248 damage per shot and fires only at enemies (needs power).
The Stone Turret also shoots players
The stone turret also fires at players who come into its line of sight. It needs no power.
Turrets can't be upgraded
They can't be upgraded at the upgrade station; their stats stay as they are when placed.

Damage is the base damage per shot set in each turret's ranged attack in the game files; it matches the game's enemy damage formula for the turret's level (Stone Turret Lv.12 × 0.6, Galaxite Turret Lv.13). The Flame Turret's burn value is its on-hit effect in the game files.
How to use turrets
- Place them at base entrances: they look for targets within 10 tiles and check line of sight before firing, so walls block them.
- Connect power: the Galaxite Turret and Flame Turret need power (how to connect power).
- Don't get shot yourself: the Stone Turret and Flame Turret also hit players. Don't aim them at paths you walk.
- Use them in mob farms: they can also kill spawned enemies (how to build a mob farm). For other traps see trap types.
Targets, detection range, power and upgrade status are read from each turret's settings in the game files of Core Keeper 1.3.0.6.
