How to build a slime farm
Place slime ground
Each type of slime spawns on Ground Slime, Ground Poison Slime, Ground Slippery Slime, Ground Magma Slime.
13 tiles
13 tiles per chunk give 99%
Slimes have a 30% chance per tile. 13 tiles in one 16×16 chunk give a 99% spawn chance per event (minimum 6 tiles).
Add chunks for more slimes
Only one slime spawns per chunk per event. Copy the same layout into other chunks.
Enemies and tiles needed for each slime ground
| Spawn tile | Spawns | Chance per tile | Min. tiles | Per-event limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Orange Slime | 30% | 6 | 1 | |
| Red Slime | 1% | 6 | 1 | |
| Purple Slime | 30% | 6 | 1 | |
| Blue Slime | 30% | 6 | 1 | |
| Lava Slime | 30% | 6 | 1 | |
| Lava Butterfly | 10% | 6 | 1 |
Low-chance enemies (1% and so on) become more likely with more tiles. Chances by tile count are in farming rare enemies.

How to build a slime farm (step by step)
- Get slime ground: see "How to get" above and collect the slime ground you want.
- Place 13 tiles inside one 16×16 chunk: don't let them cross a chunk border (finding chunks). Keep the tiles clear of objects.
- Build a way to kill them: kill and collect with traps, conveyor belts and the like (trap types).
- Wait more than 6 tiles away: nothing spawns within 6 tiles of a player. Slimes spawn about every 15-22 minutes.
- Add chunks for more: it's one per chunk per event, so copy the layout into other chunks.
You can mix different slime grounds in one chunk (each enemy has its own limit). If nothing spawns, see why your farm isn't spawning.
Values are calculated from the game's config files (Conf folder of Core Keeper 1.3.0.6, spawn settings (Spawn/Respawn)), following the game's own logic. Item chances are the chance that an enemy spawns from one tile in one event and drops the item when killed.
