ELECTRICITY

Core Keeper Electricity Guide: Generators, Wiring and Signal Strength (Does Power Cost Fuel?)

How electricity works in Core Keeper: the strength of each power source (generators, levers, sensors), wires and circuits, how to connect things, and whether power needs fuel.

Data: the game files (version 1.3.0.6)

Summary

Electricity basics

  1. Wire machines to a generator

Connect a machine to an Electricity Generator with Electrical Wire and it runs. Wires can be hidden under floors.

  2. No fuel needed

A generator outputs power forever once placed. You never need to add fuel or anything else.

  3. Power weakens with distance

Power gets weaker the further it travels along a wire. For machines at the end of a long wire, add another generator nearby.

Strength is the value at the source; it drops as power travels along wires.

How to connect power (steps)

  1. Place one power source and one machine you want to run.
  2. Connect them with wire. If you use a lever or pressure plate, switch it on.
  3. Check the machine's direction. Once it runs, add the parts that move and store items (conveyor belts need no power).

What runs on power

Drill, Robot Arm, Robot Farm Arm, Seed Extractor, Table Saw, Electrical Door, Egg Incubator, Materializer and more. See the automation guide for how to build automated setups.
