Door types and how to use them
Normal doors open by interacting
Wood, stone, scarlet and other doors open and close when you interact with (use) them. Each material is crafted at its own station.
Automatic door = electrical door + pressure plates
Place a Pressure Plate on both sides of an Electrical Door and connect them to get a door that opens as you approach.
Locked obsidian doors
They won't open without an Obsidian Key.

How to make an automatic door (electrical door and pressure plates)
- Place an Electrical Door in the passage.
- Place one Pressure Plate on each side of the door, and connect them to the door with Electrical Wire if needed.
- Walk up from both sides to check that it opens and you can pass through.
When the power stops, the door closes. You can't place things on the walls an electrical door is attached to.
More about doors
- Health: door and fence health is listed in the wall block list.
- Fence gates: you can also use a fence gate, such as the Wood Fence Gate, as the entrance to a fenced area.
- Cattle pens: they also work as the entrance to a cattle pen (how to raise cattle).
