How to use Materializer

Materializer creates a copy of the enemy of the figurine you put in it. It needs electricity to work.

  1. Place Materializer and put one of the figurines below into it.
  2. Connect electricity to Materializer to make the copy appear.
  3. Only one copy at a time comes from each Materializer; the next one appears after you defeat it.

Copies behave like the original enemy and have the same stats, but drop no items. They are useful for training combat skills. Breaking Materializer removes its active copy. Boss figurines cannot be used.

Materializer notes

  • It needs electricity to run.
  • Put a matching figurine inside and power it to create a copy of that enemy.
  • Choose the figurine with the enemy's behavior in mind, not just its stats, and leave yourself room to move during the fight.
  • Each Materializer keeps only one copy out at a time; the next appears only after the first is killed.
  • Copies also have a cyan outline that shows in the dark.
  • Breaking the Materializer kills its active copy.
  • Only figurines with a brown base fit in the Materializer.
  • Boss figurines therefore cannot be used.
  • Seasonal figurines (such as the Bakery Brute Figurine) produce the original enemy.
  • Copies are useful for training combat skills.
  • How experience is earned depends on the skill.
  • Melee combat, Range combat and Magic: landing hits with the matching damage type.
  • Since update 1.3, the experience you get depends on your attack speed.
  • Summoning: 1 experience per minion hit.
  • Vitality: experience for killing the enemy.
  • A low-damage setup lets you land more hits on a single copy.
  • On the other hand, killing the copy makes the Materializer spawn the next one and also gives Vitality experience.
  • Copies keep the original's behavior and stats, so pick an enemy you can keep contained and fight safely.

What you get from salvaging Materializer (Salvage and Repair Station)

Materializer can be salvaged. Salvaging it gives the following items.

For each material, the amount is "amount used to craft × 0.49 (lower when durability is down, 0.3 at 0 durability) × the item's multiplier", and a fraction is the chance of one more (2.4 means 2, with a 40% chance of 3). The range is from 0 durability to full durability (items without durability always count as full). Scrap parts are a fixed number set by the item level. All items that can be salvaged are listed in salvaging.
