Pandorium Ore Boulder mechanics (checked against the game data)
- The Pandorium Ore Boulder can only be worn down by a drill, and every 7,200 points of drill damage drop a piece of Pandorium Ore.
- The Furnace, the Smelter Kiln and the Fury Forge each smelt their own fixed set of bars.
- The Furnace handles the early metals: Copper, Tin and Iron Bars.
- The Smelter Kiln handles Gold, Scarlet and Octarine Bars.
- The Fury Forge handles the late metals: Galaxite, Solarite, Pandorium and Relucite Bars.
- There is one ore boulder per metal, ten in all: copper, tin, iron, gold, scarlet, octarine, galaxite, solarite, pandorium and relucite.

Pandorium Ore Boulder notes
- You can place several drills around the boulder; each one speeds up ore output.
- A boulder has room for at most eight drills: two along each of its four sides.
- Output depends on the drill type and count, the layout, and whether hits overlap on the same boulder tile.
- More drills means more ore in total, with smaller gains per drill.
- When the drills have power the boulder starts to shake, with a clang on every hit.
- When it is mined out, the boulder breaks and disappears.
- Face a Crude Drill or Drill toward the boulder and connect it to a generator, using wire where needed.
- Get the drill running and producing ore at its back before you build anything to collect it.
- Check that both drilling and collection work before adding more drills.
- If collection is jammed, extra drills will not fix it.
- Eight is only the number of spaces around the boulder; you do not need eight drills to begin.
- Extra drills raise the boulder's output, but each adds less than the one before.
- Place the Robot Arm facing the right way so it can feed ore into the smelter.
- Smelters start automatically once they hold ore they can process.
- On the map, an ore boulder is a single-colored 2×2 square.
- No ore appearing: check the power and that the drill points at the boulder.
- Do not judge a new setup by a few seconds; compare it with the drilling rate tables.
- Ore stuck behind the drill: check the belt direction, the Robot Arm's direction and power, and room at the destination.
- Ore arrives at the smelter but nothing happens: check that the smelter accepts that ore.
- Extra drills gave less speed than expected: each additional drill helps less.
- Drill layout and overlapping hits also change the mining speed.
- Boulder gone: it has been mined out.
- Move the setup to a different boulder.
