Incinerator mechanics (checked against the game data)
- The Incinerator has a single input slot that takes a whole stack.
- Burning one load takes 20 seconds.
- Its slot is set to refuse items of Legendary rarity.
Written by this site from values in the game files (1.3.0.6 prefabs and configuration files).
Incinerator notes
- Legendary items are blocked, with three exceptions that can be burned: Ghorm's Horn, Glurch Eye and Stolen Crystal Heart.
- If the power cuts out, burning pauses and continues once power returns.
- Swapping in a different item restarts the timer.
- Adding more of the same item to the stack does not restart it.
These notes cover behavior that the game files do not show directly. They are based on facts from the Core Keeper Wiki (Fandom) page "Incinerator" (CC BY-SA 3.0), rewritten in this site's own words.

What you get from salvaging Incinerator (Salvage and Repair Station)
Incinerator can be salvaged. Salvaging it gives the following items.
For each material, the amount is "amount used to craft × 0.49 (lower when durability is down, 0.3 at 0 durability) × the item's multiplier", and a fraction is the chance of one more (2.4 means 2, with a 40% chance of 3). The range is from 0 durability to full durability (items without durability always count as full). Scrap parts are a fixed number set by the item level. All items that can be salvaged are listed in salvaging.
