  • Its pickup area reaches 5 tiles forward and 2 tiles to each side of its center line.
  • Each move takes 0.5 seconds, followed by a 0.5-second cooldown.
  • It does not take items out of storage containers.

Written by this site from values in the game files (1.3.0.6 prefabs and configuration files).

Item Collector notes

  • Rotating the collector changes which side it picks up from and which side it drops to.
  • It carries one stack at a time.
  • Interacting with it opens an item filter where you can include or exclude chosen items.
  • If power is lost after it has picked something up, it keeps holding that stack and drops it off once power is back.

These notes cover behavior that the game files do not show directly. They are based on facts from the Core Keeper Wiki (Fandom) page "Item Collector" (CC BY-SA 3.0), rewritten in this site's own words.

What you get from salvaging Item Collector (Salvage and Repair Station)

Item Collector can be salvaged. Salvaging it gives the following items.

For each material, the amount is "amount used to craft × 0.49 (lower when durability is down, 0.3 at 0 durability) × the item's multiplier", and a fraction is the chance of one more (2.4 means 2, with a 40% chance of 3). The range is from 0 durability to full durability (items without durability always count as full). Scrap parts are a fixed number set by the item level. All items that can be salvaged are listed in salvaging.
