Summary

How to cook fish

  1. The fish decides the dish

Fish in the Cooking Pot turn into Fillet, Fish Balls or Sushi, depending on the kind of fish.

  2. Effects differ by fish

A dish combines the effects of its two ingredients (for the same effect, only the higher value counts). Choose the fish with the effect you want (tables below).

  3. A talent for boss damage

With the Fishing talent "Power of Omega-3!", eating fish dishes raises your damage against bosses for 60 seconds (+3% per point, up to 15%).

Fish Cooking Tips

  • Add effects with the second ingredient: pair a fish with another ingredient to get both sets of effects (for the same effect, the higher value).
  • Rare dishes: golden crops are linked to the rare version of their dish (golden crops). Among fish, only Starlight Nautilus is linked to the rare version of Sushi. Any other rare fish does not stand in for a golden crop: add one golden crop to make a fish dish rare.
  • Where to catch them: see the fishing guide for each fish's location, and best food for overall cooking advice.

Which fish makes which dish is read from each fish's prefab, the talent value from Conf/Talents and the 60-second duration from the game's program (Core Keeper 1.3.0.6). Effect text is the game's official English. That a rare fish does not replace a golden crop is from the Core Keeper Wiki (Fandom) page Cooking (CC BY-SA 3.0).

Unless a note on the page says otherwise, numbers are read from the game files of Core Keeper 1.3.0.6 (prefabs, configuration files, drop tables and the game's program) and calculated by this site, including upgraded (per-level) values, sell prices and mana costs. Names and descriptions are the game's official English text. Only reinforcing materials, minion and pet attacks and some food values are based on the Core Keeper Wiki (Fandom) data (CC BY-SA 3.0).
