How to get Veil Crux (step by step)

  1. It sits on a blue glass pedestal in the Legendary Scepter Temple in The Desert of Beginnings (you find it rather than craft it). The Veil Echo-Map shows where the temple is (about 600 tiles from the Core).
  2. Place one each of the Runestone Scepter, Blightbloom Scepter, Pandoric Scepter, Abyssal Scepter and Hollowcore Scepter on the temple's five special pressure pedestals (you cannot take them back). This powers the circuit and opens three electric doors.
  3. Touch the ward coil guarding the reward room to drop its shield, then take the scepter from the pedestal.

Veil Crux special attack and features

  • Curses enemies it hits for 8 seconds so they take +40% damage from minions (hitting again refreshes the timer). A good match for summoner builds.
  • Charging while walking slows you to 20% movement speed. A fully charged shot costs 1.4× mana.
  • Each normal hit stores power (up to 5; one decays every 5 seconds). The special attack "Dread Cataclysm" (1.4-second charge) scales with stored power: 0–2 stacks deal 2–3× damage in a 3-tile radius, 3–4 stacks deal 3.5–4× in a 5-tile radius, and 5 stacks deal 5× in an 8-tile radius.
  • The five scepters you need come from different places, so collect them first (see the table below).
