Where Crystal Snail spawns and how to find it

When the world is generatedPlaced on crystal ground in The Shimmering Frontier with a 0.2% chance per tile. Roughly 2 per 1,000 tiles of that ground.

How to find Crystal Snail

  • It is only placed when the world is generated and never comes back once killed (it does not respawn). The quickest way to find more is to dig into areas you have not explored yet (the dark parts of your map).
  • Look where crystal ground in The Shimmering Frontier covers a wide area. The chance per tile is low, so larger areas of that ground are more likely to have one.

Chances are per tile that meets the conditions. World generation and spawn events are from the spawn settings in the game's configuration files (Conf/Spawn, Core Keeper 1.3.0.6). Spawning near the player and the scenes it is placed in are from the Core Keeper Wiki (Fandom) Module:Spawns/data and SceneInfo (CC BY-SA 3.0); the spawn-event interval and the 6-tile rule are from the Wiki's "Spawning tiles" and "Mob farming" guides.

The chance is the chance that at least one of the item drops when you kill one enemy (combining the 1–2 roll(s) of the drop table per kill). The guaranteed group is a group from which exactly one item always drops. Only items that always drop are marked "Guaranteed". Calculated from the drop tables in the game's configuration files (Conf/Loot, Core Keeper 1.3.0.6) the same way the game rolls them.
