What is Slingshot? Features and uses

Slingshot is an uncommon item in Core Keeper (Ranged & magic weapons). Its base level is 5 and it deals 53–63 ranged damage (185–225 at level 20). It is crafted at the Tin Anvil from Tin Bar ×3, Wood ×10. It can be obtained from Clay Burrower, Wood Room Pedestal, Wooden Crate.

Slingshot key points (from the game data)

  • Attack interval: 0.5 s (about 2 attacks per second). Among 28 ranged & magic weapons, it ranks #11 in expected damage per second at level 20 with endgame gear (about 3,909).
  • Upgrading from level 5 to 20 costs 4,639 Ancient Coins plus bars.
  • Durability: 300. Reinforcing it at the Salvage and Repair Station doubles durability.
  • Best source: Clay Burrower — 8.5% chance per kill.
  • Sells to merchants for 5 Ancient Coins.

What you get from salvaging Slingshot (Salvage and Repair Station)

Slingshot can be salvaged. Salvaging it gives the following items.

For each material, the amount is "amount used to craft × 0.49 (lower when durability is down, 0.3 at 0 durability) × the item's multiplier", and a fraction is the chance of one more (2.4 means 2, with a 40% chance of 3). The range is from 0 durability to full durability (items without durability always count as full). Scrap parts are a fixed number set by the item level. All items that can be salvaged are listed in salvaging.

How to get Slingshot (Enemy drop, Chests & pedestals, Breakable objects)

Enemy drop (1) Chests & pedestals (1) Breakable objects (1)

SourceTypeBiomeAmountChance
Clay Burrower Enemy drop The Clay Caves 1 8.5%
Wooden room pedestal Chests & pedestals The Clay Caves, The Forgotten Ruins 1 7.4%
Wooden Crate Breakable objects The Clay Caves, The Undergrounds 1 0.42%

* "Wooden room pedestal": provisional names. The in-game name has not been confirmed, so this site named the source after its internal name in the drop tables.

"Chance" is the chance to get at least one of this item per try (opening one chest, defeating one enemy, one catch). A "guaranteed group" is the group of a chest or boss from which exactly one item always drops; it does not mean this item always drops (the chance of it being picked from that group is shown in small text). Only items that always drop are marked "Guaranteed". Fishing means catches with a fishing rod, separate from enemy and boss drops. Calculated from the game's drop tables (Conf/Loot, 1.3.0.6) the same way the game rolls them.
