What is Flamethrower? Features and uses
Flamethrower is a rare item in Core Keeper (Ranged & magic weapons). Its base level is 18 and it deals 63–75 ranged damage (69–83 at level 20). It is crafted at the Relucite Smithing Table from Relucite Bar ×20, Corrupted Alloy ×15. It can be obtained from Relucite Chest, Geobot Patroller, Large Excavation (breakable object).
Flamethrower key points (from the game data)
- Attack interval: 0.2 s (about 5 attacks per second). Among 28 ranged & magic weapons, it ranks #13 in expected damage per second at level 20 with endgame gear (about 3,655).
- Upgrading to level 20 raises its effects: +58 burn damage applied on hit → +64.
- Upgrading from level 18 to 20 costs 1,044 Ancient Coins plus bars.
- Durability: 875. Reinforcing it at the Salvage and Repair Station doubles durability.
- Best source: Relucite Chest — 16.1% chance per roll.
- Sells to merchants for 333 Ancient Coins.
Calculated and summarized by this site from the game data (1.3.0.6).
Flamethrower mechanics (checked against the game data)
- The Flamethrower's flames reach at most 4 tiles.
- It has a 100% chance to start fires when attacking.
Written by this site from values in the game files (1.3.0.6 prefabs and configuration files).
Flamethrower notes
- While you hold the attack button, the unobstructed range of the flames grows from 1 to 4 tiles over 0.5 seconds.
- Releasing the button resets that range.
- The flames pass through enemies but are blocked by walls.
These notes cover behavior that the game files do not show directly. They are based on facts from the Core Keeper Wiki (Fandom) page "Flamethrower" (CC BY-SA 3.0), rewritten in this site's own words.

What you get from salvaging Flamethrower (Salvage and Repair Station)
Flamethrower can be salvaged. Salvaging it gives the following items.
For each material, the amount is "amount used to craft × 0.49 (lower when durability is down, 0.3 at 0 durability) × the item's multiplier", and a fraction is the chance of one more (2.4 means 2, with a 40% chance of 3). The range is from 0 durability to full durability (items without durability always count as full). Scrap parts are a fixed number set by the item level. All items that can be salvaged are listed in salvaging.
How to get Flamethrower (Enemy drop, Chests & pedestals, Breakable objects)
Enemy drop (1) Chests & pedestals (1) Breakable objects (1)
| Source | Type | Biome | Amount | Chance |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Geobot Patroller | Enemy drop | Breaker's Reach | 1 | 2% |
| Relucite Chest | Chests & pedestals | Breaker's Reach, The Passage | 1 | 16.1%11.6% from the guaranteed group, 2.1% per regular roll |
| Large Breaker's Reach crate | Breakable objects | Breaker's Reach | 1 | 0.61% |
* "Large Breaker's Reach crate": provisional names. The in-game name has not been confirmed, so this site named the source after its internal name in the drop tables.
"Chance" is the chance to get at least one of this item per try (opening one chest, defeating one enemy, one catch). A "guaranteed group" is the group of a chest or boss from which exactly one item always drops; it does not mean this item always drops (the chance of it being picked from that group is shown in small text). Only items that always drop are marked "Guaranteed". Fishing means catches with a fishing rod, separate from enemy and boss drops. Calculated from the game's drop tables (Conf/Loot, 1.3.0.6) the same way the game rolls them.
